Founded in 1987, Steamatic Metropolitain inc (SMI) has more then 30 years of experience in disaster recovery. Acquired in 2008 by Steamatic Canada (SCI), a subsidiary of Group Distinction (TSX:GDI.to), SMI is now the coporate franchise for the Canadian network.
With its team of experienced project managers and a core of certified employees, SMI offers all of the Steamatic services both for the residential and commercial clients. With the years SMI has claimed an enviable place in the disaster recovery market.
Established in Anjou on the island of Montreal, SMI has 17,000 sqf of warehouse space and is equipped with the latest restoration equipment to provide the best quality of restoration and disaster recovery services.

As a certified management accountant (CMA), Alexandre has 10 years of experience with Group Distinction. In 2007 he was promoted as general manager of SMI and SCI in 2009. With his team in place, Alexandre has been working in the implementation of the best practices in our industry.
