Mould and Bacterias can hide in your furniture
Our household and office furniture gets almost as much wear and use as our floor surfaces yet we rarely clean it apart from occasionally vacuuming the cushions once in a while. This may remove the superficial pet hairs, dander, crumbs and other food residues that lurk on the surface but does little to extract the more unpleasant allergens, smoke residue, pollen, food smells and other contaminants that have worked their way deeper in.
Similarly your draperies can go for months on end without being so much as vacuumed, even though you may have opened windows so that dust, exhaust emissions, pollen and other contaminants blow into their fibers.
Over time, this kind of accumulated fine debris can leave your furniture and drapes looking and smelling dingy and worn, and may even turn them into breeding grounds for a variety of allergens, mould, mildew, bacteria and viruses that could affect your family and colleague’s health.
Steamatic’s furniture and drapery cleaning techniques and maintenance are appropriate for both residential and commercial clients. Our expert technicians are experienced and practised in completing the job in the shortest possible time, and will leave your home or business looking and smelling fresh and appealing. Both processes take only minutes to dry so you aren’t displaced or inconvenienced at home or in your business for long.
Two methods for effective furniture cleaning
Steamatic offers two highly effective furniture and drapery cleaning systems that will preserve the beauty and longevity of furniture and drapery and are a cut above the services offered by other cleaning companies.
Our first method use extremely hot water and an emulsifying agent to break down dirt and bacteria and to ensure a deep, quality clean. The hot water is sprayed deep into the fibers of your furniture and drapes and almost immediately sucked back out by our powerful vacuuming equipment, removing all the deep-seated contaminants at the same time. Your furniture and drapes can remain in place and are left almost dry with this method, thanks to the extreme heat of the water. In fact, at Steamatic, we are great believers that the hotter the water, the better it is at lifting dirt, and the less water we need to use.
Our second type of furniture and drapery cleaning methodology is our Lambrite dry cleaning technique that can be used on a wide range of different types of fabric and is particularly appropriate for more delicate, stained, soiled or fragile materials, or to remove unpleasant odors. The Lambrite option uses very similar techniques to those used in processes for dry cleaning clothes and will ensure that your furniture and drapery dry quickly and without wrinkling.
